ZwickRoell
High-Energy Drop Weight Testers from 20,000 J
ZwickRoell high-energy drop weight testers are used for fracture surface testing of ferritic steels according to standards such as ASTM E436, API-RP 5L3, and DIN EN 10274. They test material brittleness by applying sudden impact loading to specimens through a vertically falling weight. The six sizes (20 kJ to 100 kJ) are offered with 2.5 or 5-meter drop heights in machines that have pneumatic feeding, rapid tool change, and sophisticated safety systems, which makes them perfect for aggressive industrial testing.
Modular system with six sizes and two drop height options.
Pneumatic specimen feeding outside the test area for fast, safe handling.
Quick-change system for anvils
Flexure table with integrated centering for easy thickness adjustments.
Electrical and mechanical safety circuits to prevent accidental operation.
Electronically monitored safety lock bar.
Touchscreen display for drop height, energy, weight, and velocity.
Stepless height adjustment based on weight and energy input.
Four high-performance shock absorbers.
Controlled low-temperature cooler for precise specimen conditioning.
