Ray-Ran Manual Advanced Falling Dart Impact Tester (RR-FDT-MA)
Ray-Ran Manual Advanced Falling Dart Impact Tester is used to determine the energy to make thin, flexible products such as plastic film, paper, and composite sheets fail when struck by a free-falling dart. The device calculates the energy required for first failure from the weight of the dart, with 50% of the tested specimens failing. It meets ASTM D1709 (Methods A & B) and ISO 7765 part 1 standards and is therefore suitable for product development, quality control, and research laboratories. The tester is floor-mounted, with the telescopic arm enabling variable drop heights and a dual-hand safety release mechanism to protect the operator.
