Transformer Oil Gas Analyzers (TOGA)
PerkinElmer’s Transformer Oil Gas Analyzers (TOGA) are designed to analyze trace levels of light gases in transformer insulating oil, ensuring continuous monitoring of transformer health and early detection of potential issues. These analyzers detect and quantify critical gases such as hydrogen (H₂), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane, ethane, ethylene, acetylene, and air components, allowing for effective transformer condition monitoring and risk mitigation. The TOGA models help ensure long-term transformer productivity by identifying potential maintenance issues before they cause operational disruptions.
Three models with different detection methods and specifications
Dual-channel flame ionization and thermal conductivity detection (FID/TCD)
Purged sampling-valve housing and passivated tubing for reduced sample absorption-High-capacity methanizer for maximum CO and CO₂ conversion
Flexible sample introduction via injection port and gas sampling valve-Compliant with ASTM D3612-01 for dissolved gas analysis (DGA)
Detection limits of 1 ppm for hydrogen and 500 ppm for oxygen and nitrogen on the TCD channel
Detection limits of 1-2 ppm for acetylene, methane, ethane, ethylene, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide on the FID channel
